Former Pakistani Prime Minister Visits Oak Creek

The delegation included key figures such as former Prime Minister Kakar, Mr. Tariq Karim, Consulate General of Pakistan in Chicago, Oak Creek Mayor Dan Bukiewicz, City Administrator Andrew Vickers, and Miracle Salt Collective, Inc. leaders Ahmad N. Khan, President & Chairman, and Muhammad Mubarik Khan, Chief Communications Officer & Vice-Chairman.

The visit was spearheaded by Miracle Salt Collective, Inc. (MSCO), an Oak Creek-based company that recently established a groundbreaking joint venture with the Pakistani government. MSCO, founded in 2018 by Pakistani-American entrepreneur Ahmad N. Khan, his sons Muhammad ("Moe") M. Khan and Shamsher Khan, local entrepreneur Tad Ballantyne, and Oak Creek businessman Jeff Meilander, specializes in exporting Himalayan crystal salt, a mineral unique to Pakistan's resource-rich landscape.

Mayor Dan Bukiewicz shared his enthusiasm for the event:
"Oak Creek attracts many international businesses, including Zünd's North American headquarters, Komatsu, SÜDPACK, and Amazon. Miracle Salt Collective's growth represents a new frontier in our city's global connections. We were delighted to welcome Former Prime Minister Kakar and showcase the advantages of doing business in Oak Creek."

The partnership embodies a commitment to sustainable mining practices and community development in Pakistan's Punjab region.

Ahmad N. Khan, co-founder of MSCO, highlighted the broader significance of this venture:
"Our joint venture with Pakistan isn't just about salt—it's about building bridges between nations. We're creating a model for sustainable international trade that benefits communities on both sides of the world."

Building Opportunity 

The delegation's visit underscored Oak Creek's growing reputation as a business-forward community, attracting global attention for its manufacturing heritage and strategic approach to economic development. Discussions during the visit focused on Oak Creek's strategic location and business-friendly environment, with MSCO's joint venture with the Pakistani Government (PMDC) serving as a unique opportunity to become a success story in U.S.-Pakistan commerce relations.
