Construction is officially underway for the Summit apartments, marking the next phase of the Lakeshore Commons development in Oak Creek. Lakeshore Commons, a forward-thinking residential neighborhood located next to Lake Vista Park, is being developed by F Street Group with architectural design by RINKA.

City officials, including Mayor Dan Bukiewicz, joined the development team on Monday, December 16, at the Summit apartments site for a groundbreaking ceremony celebrating the start of construction. Once completed, the Summit apartments will bring an additional 74 residences to the Lakeshore Commons multifamily living community, providing residents with unique living experience and a variety of amenities.

Situated alongside Lake Michigan, Lakeshore Commons offers a picturesque setting for everyday life, providing residents with easy access to areas of nature such as Lake Vista Park and Bender Park. The City of Oak Creek has played a vital role throughout the process of the Lakeshore Commons development, working collaboratively with developers to bring public amenities to the community including walking trails, playgrounds, community gardens, as well as a community green.

Occupancy across Lakeshore Commons has already surpassed expectations, with the vibrant and dynamic community envisioned for the development quickly taking shape. Progress on the development of Lakeshore Commons is well ahead of schedule, and construction for the Summit at Lakeshore Commons is expected to complete in the second half of 2025.
