The Oak Creek community gathered in the Civic Center on Wednesday, February 19 to discuss Tour of America's Dairyland (ToAD) racers barnstorming into Drexel Town Square during this summer’s Clocktower Classic Bike Race in Oak Creek.  

Oak Creek residents, Tour of America’s Dairyland officials, supportive business leaders and curious volunteers discussed racers charging through Drexel Town Square in pursuit of the podium. ToAD draws bicycle racers from across the United States and beyond to compete throughout Wisconsin for 11 straight days. 

Clocktower Classic Oak Creek Bike Race Details 

City of Oak Creek staff and Tour of America’s Dairyland officials answered questions about the anticipated 4,000 attendees, racecourse logistics, nearby food options, parking and other bike race details. The oval track will loop around the Civic Center and Drexel Town Square residents will be able to watch and cheer from their balconies. Everyone is invited for a front row seat to the action and to partake in very own Oak Creek Community Hour (more details coming soon).  

ToAD organizers explained that on Wednesday, June 25, roads in Drexel Town Square will begin closing at 7:30 a.m. Racers grouped by age and skill level will compete throughout the day starting at 10:55 a.m. and building up to the Pro Women and Pro Men bike races in the evening. Officials expect the race to finish and for roads to reopen by 10:00 p.m.  

City of Oak Creek staff said that the Oak Creek Police Department, Oak Creek Fire Department, ToAD emergency officials, and area business leaders are working to finalize details and will communicate updates here and on Facebook & Instagram as they become available.
