Post Date:10/07/2025 12:12 PM

Oak Creek, Wis – October 7, 2025– The City of Oak Creek is excited to announce the addition of Renee Wallace as the new Oak Creek Farmers Market Operations Manager. Wallace officially joined the team in early October and brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the role.

Wallace has been deeply involved in the regional market scene for years, having participated in more than 100 farmers and makers markets. As the former owner of a retail store in Burlington, WI, she has gained extensive experience in vendor coordination, customer service, and event logistics.

Many market-goers may already recognize Wallace from her business, Midwest Goods, which has made previous appearances at the Oak Creek Farmers Market this season. “Renee's familiarity with the market and its community makes her a natural fit for this role,” stated Alex Hayes, Tourism and Events Coordinator with the City of Oak Creek. “We believe she’s a great fit to lead the operations of the Oak Creek Farmers Market.”

After stepping away from her previous roles as an art teacher and store owner to focus on raising her daughter, Wallace is excited and energized to immerse herself in this new opportunity. “Getting to be part of a weekly tradition that so many look forward to feels like an honor to me,” said Wallace. “I’m excited to grow the market, learn about the farmers and vendors, help our community access all the goodness that comes with hosting something of this nature.”

As Operations Manager, Wallace will be responsible for overseeing the weekly operations of the Oak Creek Farmers Market, including vendor coordination, on-site logistics, market setup, event support, and ensuring adherence to all rules and safety protocols.

With her enthusiasm, creativity, and hands-on experience, the City of Oak Creek is confident that Wallace will bring fresh ideas and strong leadership to the operations of the Oak Creek Farmers Market, making it stronger and more vibrant than ever.
