Oak Creek, Wis – November 11, 2025–Every Saturday from May through October, the Oak Creek Farmers Market brings the best of Wisconsin agriculture, local food, and small business to Drexel Town Square. In 2025, the market once again proved its strength as a cornerstone of community life, demonstrating that dedication and collaboration can flourish in any season.
Thriving Through Every Season
The 2025 season delivered one of the most diverse weather years in memory, yet the market community rose to the occasion. From a brisk spring sweltering summer, vendors and shoppers continued to show exceptional enthusiasm. While temperatures fluctuated widely—four market days dipped below 60°F and six climbed above 85°F, the market remained a lively destination throughout the 24-week season. The commitment of our vendors and visitors ensured that the market stayed strong and vibrant, week after week.
Tourism and Event Coordinator Alex Hayes reflected, “The 2025 season showcased the incredible dedication of our vendors, sponsors, and shoppers. Week after week, people showed up, not just to buy, but to be part of something meaningful. That’s the heart of Oak Creek.”
Remarkable Sales and Category Growth
Again in 2025, total market sales exceeded $1.1 million. Many vendor categories recorded notable gains, underscoring the demand for our local food economy including Farmers (+8.5%), Cheese & Dairy (+63.9%), Meat & Seafood (+30.9%), and Baked Goods (+13.6%).
While certain categories such as crafts, specialty produce, and confections saw smaller participation or weather-related dips, the market’s overall mix remained healthy and balanced, continuing to support a broad range of small businesses.
Community at the Core
Beyond sales, the Oak Creek Farmers Market continues to be a hub for connection, collaboration, and local pride. With more than 110 vendors each season, the market provides opportunities for small producers and artisans to grow while giving residents a welcoming place to gather, shop, and support one another.
Director of Marketing and Public Relations Marcia Wayer added, “We’re proud of the market’s continued success and the strong sense of community it fosters. With the addition of our new Market Operations Manager, Renee Wallace, we’re ready to build on this momentum. We look forward to welcoming back returning vendors and introducing new, unique products in 2026.”
Looking Ahead to 2026
Planning is already underway for an exciting 2026 season, including expanded partnerships, enhanced programming, and initiatives to strengthen regional food access. With renewed energy and a strong team, the Oak Creek Farmers Market is poised for continued growth and success.
