Oak Creek, Wis–February 4, 2026– The City of Oak Creek is updating the front counter hours at City Hall to better align services and reflect how residents are doing business today.
Beginning Monday, March 2, 2026, the front counter will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., shifting from the previous 7:30 a.m. opening time. The Personnel and Finance Committee recommended the change and the Oak Creek Common Council unanimously approved it at its meeting on Tuesday, February 3.
The updated hours now align City Hall’s front counter with the Health Department’s hours. The Oak Creek Public Library will continue to open at 9:00 a.m.
This decision is based on several years of data showing very limited in-person visits between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. We were averaging fewer than one visitor per week during that time. The shift also reflects the community’s growing use of online services (payments and select building permits) which significantly expanded in January 2024.
The City will continue to enhance our online offerings and regularly evaluate our service model to ensure we’re continuing to meet the evolving needs of the Oak Creek community.
