Founded by Erv and Barb Kazik, the restaurant quickly became known not just for its food, but for its people. Erv was a constant in the mornings, greeting regulars by name. Barb brought warmth and energy to Saturday nights. Together, they built more than a business — they built a gathering place.
Today, that legacy continues through a team boasting more than 200 years of combined service. The culture remains rooted in genuine hospitality, where guests are treated like family and familiar faces are always remembered — often along with their favorite drink.
Proudly independent and impossible to duplicate, Erv’s Mug stands by a simple promise: quality, scratch-made food & drink. The beer‑battered fish fry, served every Wednesday and Friday, remains a community favorite and is continuously awarded with the title of “Best Fish Fry.” Behind the scenes, the kitchen operates with a true scratch-made philosophy and respect for ingredients, from half‑pound burgers and halal chicken to in‑house roast beef, ribs, soups, and hearty salads.
