The health departments of Oak Creek. Cudahy, and South Milwaukee/St. Francis are pleased to announce the South Shore COVID-19 Testing Site, located on the Bucyrus Campus in South Milwaukee, will continue operations through early 2021. After conducting over 10,000 tests since it opened in late October, the South Shore Testing Site has proven to be a vital resource to bridge testing gaps in the southeastern part of Milwaukee County. Community-based testing sites continue to be key to quickly identifying individuals with COVID-19 and subsequently minimizing exposure risk to others as well as informing communities of the burden caused by this disease. Continuation of the testing site is the result of collaboration with the Wisconsin National Guard (WING), Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management, and City of Milwaukee Health Department.
The South Shore Testing site will continue to offer low barrier testing four days per week, which is free and open to all individuals ages 5 and above, with or without symptoms. Hours of operation will remain the same:
