Starting Monday, January 4, Oak Creek Public Library patrons can use text messaging to check in for Curbside Pick Up through a new program called Curbside Communicator.
When you arrive to pick up your holds, simply park in any of the signposted Curbside parking spots located at the west entrance of the library building. Text 'HERE' to the phone number seen on the parking signs, or type ocwi.org/pickup directly into your phone's browser app.
The Curbside Communicator program will then ask a series of questions to collect basic details, such as your name or library card number, as well as what spot you are parked in. After you provide an answer to each question, staff will gather your items and bring them out to your vehicle. If you feel more comfortable calling to speak with Curbside staff, you can still do so using the same phone number listed on each parking sign.
Oak Creek Public Library is proud to be the first member of the Milwaukee County Federated Library System to roll out Curbside Communicator. This streamlined program aims to make the process of picking up holds easier than ever. For more information on Oak Creek Public Library's Curbside service, please visit their website here.
