Chris Guzikowski will be the first to tell you that Oak Creek has so much to offer, and he should know. Chris was born and raised in the City.  He and his wife, Colleen, have been married for nearly 38 years. They have three grown children, Alyssa, Carley(Nate), and Lauren(Matthew), and three wonderful grandchildren.

My favorite time of year is the Fall, when I can get up North to be in the woods and bow hunt. I enjoy working out in the yard and helping others.

Civic Involvement:

Chris has been the 6th District Alderman since 2014. He’s served on the Plan Commission, Board of Public Works and Capital Assets (BOPWACA), Library Board, Parks and Rec., and the Community Center Board.

Chris is passionate about helping others. He’s long-time member of St. Stephen Parish in Oak Creek and is an active parishioner volunteering and serving in multiple roles within the church. He’s also a proud supporter of the Oak Creek Marching Knights.

For the past 6 years, he’s hosted Guzi’s Hunt for the Cure Run/Walk to raise awareness and money for Huntington’s Disease.

In 2018, he was honored as the Oak Creek Citizen of the Year.

Professional Background:

After graduating from Oak Creek High School, Chris joined the Air Force and was honorably discharged. He then went to work in the printing industry and spent 33 years at Western States Envelope and Label. He retired in 2022.

Favorite things to do in Oak Creek:

Chris and his family enjoyed attending high school sporting events, walking in the neighborhood, as well as at the Dale Richard’s Trail, and Lake Vista Park. He and his wife love all of the City’s great restaurants and enjoy attending the summer concerts and events at Drexel Town Square and the Oak Creek Community Center.

Why Oak Creek:

Why not? As an Oak Creek native, Chris should know! Oak Creek has a great mix of sports, entertainment, stores, restaurants, and parks. It is close to downtown. It offers a small town feel in the city and is a great place to call home. According to Chris, Oak Creek was a great place to grow up and continues to be a wonderful place to live.
