One of the things Jim appreciates most about Oak Creek is watching the community continue to grow while maintaining its strong family values and welcoming atmosphere. He’s certainly seen the area evolve, raised in Racine and Caledonia, he moved to Oak Creek with his wife, Karen, in 1982, where they raised their two children, Jennifer and Jason.

Civic Involvement:

Jim serves as the 3rd District Alderman. He’s on the Personnel and Finance Committee, serves as Chairman of the License Committee, and has been a founding member of the Oak Creek Tourism Commission since 2018, where he currently serves as Chairman.

He supports police officers, firefighters, and all first responders, responsible business development, strengthening schools and community organizations, promoting tourism and economic growth. He remains committed to advocating for the residents of Oak Creek’s 3rd District and helping ensure Oak Creek continues to thrive for future generations.

Professional background:

Jim spent most of his professional career in management with a family-owned industrial distribution businesses, including leadership roles with All Tool Sales, All Fasteners, and All Integrated Solutions (AIS), an MSC company. After retiring as CEO of AIS in 2019, he earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration and founded JPR Global Partners, LLC, a family business consulting firm.

He received his Associate of Science in Oceanography from Florida Institute of Technology, a bachelor’s degree in Geography and Urban Planning from the University of Wisconsin–Parkside, an MBA from The University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University.

Favorite things to do in Oak Creek: 

As longtime Oak Creek resident, Jim loves spending time in the community. Some of his favorite local restaurants include Trattoria di Carlo and BelAir Cantina. In his free time, he enjoys riding his motorcycle along the lakefront and walking the trails at Emerald Preserve. One of his favorite community events is Fare in the Square at Drexel Town Square.

Why Oak Creek: 

He values Oak Creek’s convenient location near Milwaukee, Chicago, and Mitchell International Airport, while still enjoying the beauty and recreation of the lakefront. But most of all Jim appreciates the strong sense of community and the people of Oak Creek, which has made the City a wonderful place to create lifelong connections.
