Reasons for the Project

The Engineering Department completed its bi-annual street ratings in the fall of 2023. Engineering completed its analysis of this information and provided a list of potential 2025 Road Improvement candidates to the Board of Public Works and Capital assets and Common Council. 

The Common Council adopted Resolution No. 12523-101524.

Payne and Dolan, Inc., was awarded the contract to complete the paving project and the major construction is now finished, with punch list (final cleanup) work remaining.

Reasons for the Project

The Common Council approved the Enhanced Surface Transportation Rehabilitation Program by motion at the February 17, 2025 Common Council meeting and the Ditch Maintenance fund (CIP# 25002) as part of the 2025 Budget. This project will utilize these funding sources to regrade the ditches, replace driveway culverts as needed to ensure ditches flow properly, and resurface the streets within the Fairfield Subdivision. The Engineering Department prepared plans and specifications for the project.

Wolf Paving Co., Inc., was awarded the contract to complete the project and the project is currently in progress.
