All animal bites and scratches should be reported to the Oak Creek Police Department.
To prevent the spread of rabies, the Health Department investigates and enforces state statutes and municipal codes regarding bites and scratches from domestic and wild animals. The Health Department follows-up with animal owners and victims of a bite or scratch to provide information and guidance about the 10-day animal quarantine, required veterinary checks, rabies testing, and rabies prophylaxis, among other things.
If you have questions about an animal bite or scratch, call the Health Department at 414-766-7950.
