Since its inception in 2009, the goal of the “Community Bike Rodeo” has been to encourage positive interactions between Oak Creek Police Department officers and children and to teach kids the importance of safe bike riding.

This year’s bike will be held as part of our National Night Out celebration on August 5th in the back parking lot of the high school near the entrance to Knights Stadium.  Participants will receive riding instruction from our Bike Patrol officers on:

  • Proper bicycle equipment
  • Bicycle Maintenance
  • Safe Riding Tips
  • Rules of the Road
  • Avoiding Hazards

After the instruction, participants can test their skills in a bicycle obstacle course and to end the event, take a ride with our bike patrol officers through Miller Pond Park.

No prior registration is necessary but participants are encouraged to watch the linked video for additional information about bike safety.
