Get Ready for Oak Creek’s Biggest Summer Yet!
Summer is here and there is so much to look forward to in Oak Creek this year, with events happening every week beginning in June!
“This summer in Oak Creek will be super robust,” said Alex Hayes, Tourism & Events Coordinator with the City of Oak Creek. “We’ve brought back a lot of our really popular events for 2026 and have some new things in store as well.”
New Additions for 2026
Families will love the new Kids Nights in Drexel Town Square. “It’s really designed for families to have a fun, relaxing night together,” Hayes said. “We’ve partnered with a number of local organizations to host some exciting kids’ activities.” Each Kids Night will offer something a little different, so every visit feels fresh.
Over by the lakefront, Kites in Flight returns to Lake Vista Park after a brief hiatus with kite-making workshops, professional stunt flyers, and live music along the shores of Lake Michigan.
Monthly Traditions & Returning Favorites
Movie lovers can look forward to three outdoor movie nights this summer, complete with food trucks and family activities. This year’s lineup includes the 2025 remake of How to Train Your Dragon, Captain America: The First Avenger in honor of America’s 250th anniversary, and the highly anticipated Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
Also returning are the monthly Night Markets. “It’s a maker's market geared towards adults looking for a summer night out, but there is truly something for everyone.” said Hayes.
Signature Summer Events
Hayes is especially looking forward to this year’s Summer Solstice Music Festival, which is now bigger and better than ever! Expanded to three days, the festival will feature seven regional bands alongside the first Beer Garden of the summer. “If you don’t want to deal with the headache of parking and big-ticket prices a major festival brings, this is a completely free music event that highlights amazing local talent,” Hayes said.
Cycling enthusiasts can cheer on racers at Clocktower Classic! Oak Creek is hosting opening day for the Tour of America’s Dairyland, an 11-day cycling series across Southeastern Wisconsin. Kids even have the chance to hit the track themselves during the community hour and ride the same course as the pro athletes.
“Oak Creek is truly special. There’s a sense of pride within our community that you don’t find everywhere and Drexel Town Square gives us a unique space to bring people together for free, all-ages events that bring the everyone together all summer long.”
