The Playlist is Ready to Bring the Soundtrack of the Summer to Drexel Town Square
This year’s Summer Solstice Music Festival is now three full days, and the excitement is building as we get closer to the event. This year’s lineup includes the return of The Playlist, one of the region’s most versatile and crowd‑pleasing cover bands.
For the past 22 years, The Playlist has built a reputation for delivering top 40 hits spanning the last four decades. From Journey to Nicki Minaj, their setlist is designed to keep audiences guessing and on their feet. “Nothing’s really off limits,” Lead Singer Annie Buege shared. “We always enjoy mixing it up and surprising people.”
For The Playlist, performing at Summer Solstice is about more than just music. “We love entertaining people and helping them forget about everyday life for a couple hours.”
Buege hinted at some fresh music making their debut to the band’s setlist this summer, adding a little extra anticipation to their already high‑energy performances.
The Summer Solstice Music Festival offers something truly unique compared to larger commercial events. Admission is completely free for all three days. And there’s something for everybody to enjoy. Plus, adults can look forward to the first Beer Garden of the summer, which coincides with this event.
As Buege put it, “Community festivals like this are special to us. They unify people and create shared experiences. We’re really looking forward to being part of that.”
